With an Illustrious career of over fifty years, Tabla Maestro Shri K. Paramjyoti hails from India and started his training in Tabla with Shri Ranjit Bahadur Kaushal. He later spent several years under the guidance of none other than Ustad Amir Hussain Khan, the legendary maestro of the Farukkhabad Gharana.
He rose to amazing heights of his performing career, accompanying most of India's greatest Masters in music including G.S. Sachdev, Vasant Rai, Pt. Pran Nath, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Nikhil Banerjee, Pt. V.G. Jog, Prabha Atre, Lakshmi Shankar and Pt. Ravi Shankar.
One of his cardinal contributions to the world of Tabla has been his groundbreaking Album - 'Thinking Tabla' - An instructional and extremely insightful treasure for students of Tabla revealing the intricate art of composing and transposing compositions into different rhythmic cycles.
Through his continuous performing and teaching, Shri Paramjyoti carved a unique niche as a highly sought after soloist and accompanist by the leading musicans of India.
